At AtoZ, we believe that the best workplace doesn’t happen by chance.
It takes conscious effort to nurture the things that matter to us in terms of wellbeing at work. Each year, at the start of summer, we conduct a broad employee survey focused on work wellbeing.
The 2025 employee survey confirmed what we already knew: AtoZ is a place where people thrive, grow, and do meaningful work together. We are the best workplace for #AtoZfellows!
eNPS still at an excellent level
Our employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS), which measures how willing our people are to recommend AtoZ as a workplace, remained at +50 this year—the same as it has been throughout our history. By comparison, the IT industry average is significantly lower, which makes this result genuinely outstanding. It shows that people enjoy working at AtoZ and that our culture stands strong in any comparison.
What we value at AtoZ
In the open-text responses, one word rose clearly above the rest: freedom.
Freedom to influence one’s own work, to develop as a professional, and to shape both one’s workday and AtoZ itself into something personal. Alongside freedom, other words that stood out were openness, culture, team spirit, and best workplace.
Meaningful work and resilience
Our people continue to see their work as meaningful (average 3.5/4). Readiness to face change improved compared to last year. This points to strong resilience and the ability to handle new situations professionally. We see this as especially important in IT, where mental load is a well-recognized risk factor.
Areas for development
The survey showed a slight decline in how much influence people feel they have (average 3.3), which may also explain the downward trend in response rates. Hopefully we can reverse this trend.
Performance reviews still aren’t seen as particularly useful by most, so we don’t plan to make them part of our support structures. However, open responses highlighted wishes for greater transparency in reward systems and career paths. These are areas we want to address.
Wellbeing and working together
According to the survey, workload is mostly well balanced, and work and free time support one another. This remains one of the most important aspects for #AtoZpeople. Most were satisfied with project work overall.
Support from colleagues received a strong score of 3.7/4, reflecting a high level of team spirit. Our support structures, such as buddy systems and mentorships, sparked mixed opinions, but many found them valuable. Our mentor program in particular received excellent feedback!
Looking ahead
The 2025 employee survey reaffirmed that we are still a human-sized workplace, where freedom and responsibility go hand in hand. This is the culture we want to keep nurturing in the years ahead. While wellbeing at AtoZ is already at a very high level, there’s always room to improve—or at least to ensure that the aspects of work wellbeing that matter to us remain strong.
Based on the results, we will once again refine our practices. Together, we’ll hold a wellbeing workshop to set the development steps for the next period.

This perfectly sums up what makes AtoZ special. We are not for everyone—but for those who share our values and culture, we are the best place to grow, develop, and do meaningful work.
